RDT's Ring Around the Rose - Janet Gray Studios

Experience the look and sounds of Tap/Percussive Dance as talented young performers dance the beat!

 

These gifted young dancers will delve into the world of percussive sounds using everything from jump rope sing songs to industrial work buckets using only the sounds from their tap shoes as accompaniment. Janet Gray & her dancers will also explore the 'steppin' style of dance using hand jives, body slaps, and tap sounds.

 

Audience members will be involved throughout the show and are encouraged to participate using the props along with the dancers and creating rhythms with their own bodies. Additionally, the audience will learn the national anthem of tap dancers, the "Shim Sham Shimmy."This interactive and "wiggle-friendly" show is guaranteed to delight families and children of all ages.
