|Sunday, January 29, 2012, 03:00pm |
Utah Symphony Music Director Thierry Fischer leads a thrilling performance of chamber symphonies by John Adams and Arnold Schoenberg. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see Maestro Fischer collaborate in a chamber music setting as he appears in Utah for the first time as a conductor outside the Utah Symphony. Musicians include the Fry Street Quartet, musicians of the Utah Symphony, as well as faculty members of University of Utah and Utah Valley University. The works of Adams and Schoenberg are paired with lieder of Richard Strauss and songs by Charles Ives sung by mezzo soprano Kirsten Gunlogson and baritone Michael Chipman.
