The Basics of Gourd Growing, Processing, and Creating Art

This is a 4-session class that introduces the student to each phase of growing and creating art with gourds.  Topics covered are:  the history, uses and art of gourds, growing gourds indoors from seed and then in your garden, harvesting and curing, cleaning and processing gourds for artwork. Each student will take home seed to start their own gourd plants and a gourd bowl that they decorated in class.  All materials are provided.  No experience required.   Ages 14+  Register at www.thegardeningcoach.net.  Click on the Event Calendar.
